I’m a registered dietitian and board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition. I’ve spent the past 10 years helping children with nutrition difficulties in a variety of settings including Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago), the Illinois Early Intervention System, and my private practice.
I know the challenges families face in providing nutritious and balanced meals—especially families affected by food allergies and other dietary restrictions. As a parent myself, I’ve faced these challenges firsthand. My daughter had food intolerances and severe reflux as an infant. This was a stressful time, but it gave me great insight into living, eating, and feeding with food allergies.
I’m passionate about the power of nutrition and the family meal. I love working closely with families to create strategies that meet each family’s unique needs. I enjoy the creativity it takes to plan wholesome, delicious meals and snacks even on restrictive diets.
I have extensive training in working with children with food allergies, picky eating, and feeding disorders. I’m trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding as well as the AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding. I also work with a multidisciplinary team to treat a wide range of issues that may interfere with your child’s ability to eat.
My specialties include nutrition counseling and ensuring nutritional adequacy in the following:
